Lux Fagus by Ferdinand Pechmann
Lux Fagus is a curved floor lamp with a minimal design aspect by Ferdinand Pechmann. The design element of the floor lamp is a single beech strip with an impressive length of 4.2 meters. Steam bent, a luminous ring is merged into the top curved area. Warm white with a total output of 45 watts is concealed in the wooden loop.
Rooflights hide in slender silhouettes and will sooner or later turn the classic lampshade into fossils. Lux Fagus also brings completely new applications to traditional processing methods such as the wood bending industry. It creates a bridge between innovation and the old arts.
The light is controlled by a non-contact sensor, which allows an intuitive interaction. If the hand lingers longer in the sensor area, the intensity is dimmed, the light is switched on and off by wiping.
