Arc Coffee & Side Table by Julie Begtrup & Ditte Vad
Arc is a coffee table designed to combine minimalistic outlines with an urban functionality. It is made of ash, ash veneer and fenix linoleum, created by Danish furniture designers, Julie Begtrup and Ditte Vad for Woud.
It is available in different sizes as coffee – or side table. The small series of tables owes its name to the mathematical concept of an even curve connecting two points to form a circle.
The piece consists of two semicircles in a round shape of which the upper can be rotated 360 degrees. By rotating the upper semicircle, the table reveals a storage room built to cope with everyday tidying. The table has three legs that exude a playful and exciting look.
Nowadays, furniture design tends to be more functional another than just a piece of home decor because modern homes in the city are more compact and minimal. People want furniture that can have multiple uses while remaining its nature.
