Hooded Cabin by Arkitektærelset
Hooded Cabin is wooden structure located at a weathered mountain top with a magnificent view. It is designed by Arkitektærelset, an Norwegian architectural studio established in 2015, create functional, amazing and beautiful designs based on clients’ needs and value.
The high altitude mountain area of Imingfjell, Norway, is beautiful, but weathered and windblown. It also has relatively strict building regulations. Thus, the hood design has the ore pine roof to protects the front window of the cabin and prevents rain to dribble down the main entrance to the cabin’s side wall. The hoodie has practical functions at the same time, the contrast between the angled pine paneling and the black painted cabin body creates a strong geometric form.
The interior has a contemporary and Scandinavian style. The orignal woodgrain with black painted color create elegance and comfort. It is a prefect home for settling down for a country life with waking up with breathtaking views every day.
