Backyard – Wood x Stitch is a collection of wooden purses with handmade stitch patterns. The wooden bags are made with oak wood created by GRAV GRAV, a slow-fashion and wearable-wood brand based in Istanbul focuses on the feeling of belonging to nature and is interested in creating a magical channel between women and nature.
The collection has different patterns of graphics on each bag including flowers, fruits, and birds. They are all hand-sewn with colorful yarn. The oak wood has a and natural varnish which features the unique texture and embodies the soul of nature. Sustainable fashion is a part of the growing design philosophy and movement towards environmental and social sustainability. Using wood to create bags is something that we should bring to the spotlight.
