HoverBox by Looma
The Looma HoverBox is a minimal home decor design which use a magnetic field to levitate the wooden object and it can carry any objects weight less than to 14.oz. It is designed by a Germany-based design studio LOOMA. The floating distance of stage depends on the weight of the levitating object. Lightweight objects such as rings can float up to 2cm. It is has a minimal design which could be a perfect display decor to light up the displaying object or a playful decor itself. It comes with options of maple, oak, and walnut.
The Hoverbox combines with various wooden objects like handmade solid wood plates, 3D wooden printing pots, handmade toys, etc. The studio promise to ensure the best possible quality from material selection through the processing up to the production. They also have an interest in sustainable working methods and pay much attention to the environmental compatibility of the materials.
The 3D printed wood is using a blend of recycled wood and bioplastic made from corn. The composition makes most of the 3D printed wood a sustainable product. It allows unleashing creativity. It also creates objects with particularly complex and detailed lines while keeping low costs, less quality, and minimal waste.
