Canot by Andrée Jardin
Canot is a series of wooden brushes designed for everyday use in the kitchen for scraping, scrubbing and cleaning fruits and vegetables. The simple design is created by France-based designer Andrée Jardin, a designer has been making beautiful wood brushes in Brittany, France for almost 60 years, her work becomes a few of the high-quality options with modern style made in a traditional way.
The brushes are made of raw beech wood and polyamide fibres. Beechwood is not an expensive wood, but It has small pores which make it really effective at warding off bacteria, moisture, and stains.
The design evokes a sense warmth and minimalism. It has a simple function and shape which make it a typical Nordic design. The material in use makes it practical and sustainable wooden design.
