House Ogikubo by SNARK

House Ogikubo has its interior mostly made of wood. The contrast between original brownish wood color and white painted wall give a warm comfort. It is located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by SNARK. The minimal home features traditional wooden furniture composed with the modern home decor. Nature skylight shines through windows above the ceiling, brightening the wooden floor and walls with a rich sense of ease which makes the living room and kitchen much more comfortable. Some of the building’s original elements were kept intact to contrast against the renovated portions. Although the floor plan is much cleaner now since there are not many walls in between different rooms.
