House with Three Eyes by Innauer-Matt Architekten
House with Three Eyes is a summer home located on the edge of a forest on a small plateau above Weiler. The house is built with timbers, designed by Innauer-Matt Architekten, an Austrian architectural studio found by Sven Matt and Markus Innauer.
The house has three big, circular windows leading up to the house’s distinctive roof, which as the Dragon scale pattern and looks. The wooden grains add complexity and richness to the patterns. The interior is modern and minimal. It is always good to see old buildings and houses being built or converted. Especially, using timber as the traditional way yet creating something modern and beautiful is remarkable.
