Oyster by Geckeler Michels
Oyster is a contemporary wooden stool created by Geckeler Michels, a Berlin-based design studio established by David Geckeler and Frank Michels in 2013. The studio explores product functionality around human habits, with a forecasting eye on ever-evolving usages and ways of expression.
Oyster is a small stool and occasional side table made of solid ash wood. The tripod design features a steady frame and beautiful details. The cut-off top and T-shape construction creates a flat surface if the stool will be placed against the wall without gaps. The stool is manufactured in Portugal using computer-aided manufacturing and traditional wood joinery.
