Rownd is a movable drinks cabinet with the ability to roll around while keeping glasses and bottles upright. It is designed by Rowena Edwards, a Welsh-born designer and maker whose use of color, materials and the concept of interaction produce a sense of depth and integrity.
Instead of the typical two-tiered cart on four wheels, Rownd uses two large side wheels to create this sleek and modern movable cabinet. The drinks cartridge and tray units can be lifted out of the carcass to reveal a convenient way of topping up the bottles and removing the glasses. Removing the tray also uncovers a useful storage pocket for drinks accessories. The beautiful ash wood grain contrasts with colorful steel accents and its movement brings a playful yet useful element to everyday life.
