Minus by QUANTUM
Minus is a minimal table lamp with sustainable material. It is featured by Head&Haft, a multi-disciplinary furniture, lighting, and home-ware design and manufacture brand based in Cornwall, UK. Founded in 2012, They focus on the design, and manufacture of handmade products, with emphasis on material, craft, narrative, and longevity.
The lamp arm constructed from one piece of cornish air-dried oak, split and bent into the form of the legs. The shade is solid agglomerated cork. The process was inspired by natural cork stopper production where the cork is punched from the cork bark resulting in minimum waste. The shades center is removed then goes on to be the shade for a smaller desk lamp. Minus uses a Phillips luster 3 w retrofit LED bulb and burgundy fabric cable with torpedo switch. Production is very energy efficient and the whole lamp body and shade are 100% recyclable and repurpose able.
