Core Kensington by Studio Wolter Navarro
Core Kensington is a reformer Pilates studio with a wooden interior in London. It is designed by Studio Wolter Navarro, a young creative international architecture practice founded by Almudena Navarro and René Wolter.
The project contains references to both Mexican and Norwegian design, including a celosía, the traditional Mexican perforated breeze wall, as well as douglas fir timber, commonly used in Scandinavian interiors. The light color douglas fir timber has a beautiful natural grain and it also creates a warm temperature that contrasts with the steel machines and stone counter. It tastefully and playfully makes the interior less industrial.
